When I am the problem

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit.
(Proverbs 16:2 ESV)

How certain I am that I am in the right, yet God knows my spirit. He sees the insecurities that cause me to react wrongly, he sees the ego that rebels when it is threatened. He sees the selfishness that demands and manipulates to get my own way.

So what do I do?

A few verses later in proverbs it says, “By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns away from evil.” (Proverbs 16:6 ESV)

“Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.”
(1 Peter 4:8 ESV)

Father let me demonstrate love to those I wrong while teaching me to live and speak as one who fears you.
